TOPEKA, Kan. (WATE) - The Blount County Sheriff's Office says the suspect in a December dollar store robbery in late December has been arrested in Kansas.

James Cramin Meacham, III, 29, was taken into custody by the Topeka Police Department Wednesday afternoon. He will be extradited back to Blount County.

Blount County detectives learned that Meacham fled to Topeka after the robbery of the Dollar General store on Sam Houston Road on December 22.

Working with information from Blount County officials, Topeka police were able to locate Meacham and arrest him without incident.

When he returns to Blount County, he will be served with a warrant for aggravated robbery. He also has two outstanding warrants for failure to appear and one outstanding warrant for violation of parole.
