PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The Bell County clerk and two deputy clerks have entered not guilty pleas in a case involving vehicle registrations.

WYMT-TV reports Rebecca Blevins, Kayla Carnes, and Connie Watkins entered the pleas Monday in Bell Circuit Court.

Blevins is charged with abuse of public trust and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Watkins and Carnes are charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.

The judge also lifted bond restrictions that required the women not to have contact with each other, meaning the deputy clerks could return to work for Blevins.

The attorney general's office originally brought the charges against the women last year, and a grand jury indicted them last month.
