Update: surveillance photos released in pharmacy robbery search

BLOUNTVILLE, TN (WJHL) - A pharmacy in Blountville was robbed Tuesday afternoon and the public's help was being sought in finding the robber.

According to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, Blountville Drug on Highway 126 was robbed around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday by a man who said he had a gun.

The robber forced his way behind the counter, got drugs and ran from the store.

He was described as between six feet two inches and six feet four inches tall. He weighed around 250 pounds.  According to witnesses, the man was wearing a maroon windbreaker with gray stripes near the shoulders, a tan hoodie underneath, as well as blue jeans and white tennis shoes.  The suspect's face was covered by a ski mask.

Anyone with information was asked to call 279-7500, extension 222.

Authorities were actively searching for the suspect as of 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
