Dandridge residents asked to conserve water

DANDRDIGE (WATE) - Residents in Dandridge are being asked to conserve water for a 24 hour period beginning Thursday night because of a significant decrease in the water supply caused by water lines that broke during the cold weather.

In a press release, the Dandridge Water Management Facility says many citizens have experienced water lines that broke and caused leaks all across the community.

Due to the large decrease in the water supply, the utility is asking users to conserve water until Friday night.

During that time, crews will be reading meters in an effort to find potential leaks. If a leak is discovered, the staff will make efforts to contact the property owner to make him or her aware.

If the property owner cannot be contacted, the staff will turn off the water until the property owner contacts the utility to correct the issue.

Anyone with questions is invited to call Dandridge Water Management Facility at (865) 397-3696.
