MARYVILLE (WATE) - The Blount County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying and locating a suspect believed to be tied to three separate store burglaries last weekend.

Sheriff James Berrong says the first break-in and burglary happened early Saturday at the Aztec on East Lamar Alexander Parkway. The second happened early Sunday morning at Garner Bros. Auto Parts on the same highway. The third also happened early Sunday at Mapco Express on East Broadway.

The suspect stole cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets. The sheriff says the man tried to cash some of the stolen lottery tickets Sunday morning at a convenience store. He ran away and was last seen near Davis Lumber Company on East Lamar Alexander Parkway.

The suspect was wearing a green hooded jacket.
