MARYVILLE (WATE) - A Maryville man has been arrested in connection with three store burglaries that happened last weekend.

James Dustin Nix, 33, is charged with two counts of burglary of a business. More charges are pending.

Blount County deputies responded to three store burglaries last weekend that happened in the early morning hours of Saturday and Sunday.

The first was reported at the Aztec on East Lamar Alexander Parkway on Saturday.

The second and third happened Sunday at the Garner Bros. Auto Parts store on East Lamar Alexander Parkway and the Mapco Express on East Broadway.

Cash, cigarettes, and lottery tickets were stolen.

The sheriff's office released a surveillance photo Tuesday showing the suspect trying to cash some of the stolen lottery tickets at a convenience store.

A community member was able to identify Nix from the photo.

The investigation into the burglaries continues.
