WEARS VALLEY (WATE) - Sevier County officials say they arrested a man early Thursday morning who is wanted in connection to a murder in Pinellas County, Fla.

According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals, detectives and members of the U.S. Marshals Office found 40-year-old James Quilliams, of Sevierville, around midnight at an abandoned cabin located on the 3100 block of Valley Home Way.

Officials say a tip from a concerned citizen led them to Quilliams.

He is being held in the Sevier County Jail awaiting extradition back to Florida.

The Sevier County Sheriff's Office has been working with the Pinellas County Florida Sheriff's Office since Tuesday to locate Quilliams.

Deputies in Florida say he killed 48-year-old Teresa Compton at their home in Oldsmar.
