CHURCH HILL (WATE) - A popular Hawkins County teacher died suddenly from a brain aneurysm Monday.

Crystal Davenport, 40, taught 5th and 6th grade language arts at Church Hill Intermediate School.

The school's principal, Sherry Price, told WJHL-TV that Davenport was known for always entering or leaving a room with her favorite statement "Happy day everyone, happy day!"

Davenport's visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ridgeview Baptist Church, which is located at 234 Hurd Road. A funeral service will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for her daughters, the Hannah and Cassie Davenport Trust Fund.
