KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Clouds, sun, rain, snow ...you want it? We have it.
Light snow showers moved through overnight, but we will get a break of partly cloudy skies for the first half of the day.
After lunch, a cold front moves in. The wind will pick up, and spotty rain develops in the valley (30%) with spotty snow in the high elevations (40%). It won't be a lot, but the high elevations may pick up less than a half inch of accumulation under any snow bands.
Our Kentucky counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 p.m. Temperatures will rise to 40 by about 2 p.m. and then fall back into the 30s for the rest of the afternoon.
It's also windy during the afternoon. The valley will have some isolated, light snow re-\developing as temperatures drop again this evening. Lows tonight drop to 18 degrees. Bring pets indoors, please!
On Saturday, highs only make it into the mid 30s, even though we'll have sunshine. Another clipper (snow) system moves in Saturday night, but again, we won't see huge amounts of accumulation. It moves out by Sunday, and temperatures slowly rebound. Sunday's high is 44. Monday will be 53.
