KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The 2014 MLK Celebrations began Wednesday, but there are still many events left to enjoy this weekend.  

A Gallery of Arts Tribute Reception will be held Friday, January 17 beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Community Forum at 7:00 p.m. - both at the Beck Cultural Exchange Center.

Two events on Saturday, January 18 will focus on students and teachers and include the Teacher In-Service Training program at the Beck Cultural Center and the Youth Symposium at Austin East High School. 

Also on Saturday, the MLK Commission and the YWCA will co-host the annual Race Against Racism, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Center. 

A Night with the Arts and the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra will be on Sunday, January 19 at the Bijou Theatre. 

Monday, January 20, the official MLK Holiday, will culminate with the Memorial March Parade at 10 a.m. down Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue in the morning followed by the Memorial Tribute Service at 11:45 a.m. at the Greater Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church
