Temps start to plunge Tuesday, light snow expected

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - We start Tuesday with mild temperatures, but temperatures are falling to around 28 degrees by 5 p.m.

It's also windy with off and on light rain/snow to snow. We are not expecting much accumulation from this, aside from some light accumulation in the higher elevations.

Bundle up! Lows tonight dip into the single digits for many locations, and it's still windy.

Both Wednesday and Thursday bring sunshine but bitterly cold temperatures. Morning lows will be in the teens and single digits with afternoon highs only in the upper 20s.

We won't make it back to above freezing until Saturday afternoon.

TODAY: Falling Temps, Windy, Light Off/On Snow. 60%. Temps: Falling to 28 by 5pm

TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy. Windy. Low: 11

WEDNESDAY: Sunny, Cold. High: 28
