Hamblen County woman arrested for possessing crystal meth

MORRISTOWN (WATE) - A Whitesburg woman was arrested Monday by the Hamblen County Sheriff's Office after a traffic stop during which she admitted to posessing crystal meth.

Lisa Taylor, 34, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of schedule II for resale.

Deputies say they observed her crossing the center line several times on a Hamblen County roadway.

After stopping, deputies say Taylor nervously stated that she had dropped a cigarette and was coming to the hospital.

When deputies asked if she had anything illegal, she surrendered scales and 16 grams of crystal meth. She was then taken into custody and later released on bond.
