KNOXVILLE (WATE) - There are no failing health inspection grades this week, which is good.

However, the lowest scoring restaurants did have a number of problems that potentially could affect your health.

Bella Roma Pizza, 7817 Oak Ridge Highway - Grade: 74

Here, the inspector found spoiled lettuce in the walk-in cooler.

He writes, "ham and salami were too warm." The proper cold holding temperature is 41 to prevent people from potentially getting sick.

Fu House, 4421 Western Avenue - Grade: 75

The inspector found food stored on the floor of the walk-in cooler; it belonged up on shelves.

Rotten zucchini was found in the cooler. A whole box of zucchini was thrown out.

Dazzo's Pizzeria, 710 Gay Street - Grade: 75

Chicken was found on the floor in the freezer. That is the wrong place.

The hand sink was being used as a dump sink. There was a bunch of junk in it. Sinks are to be used to wash and dry hands only.

Reinspected: Oodles Uncorked, 18 Market Square - Grade: 61 79

Oodles has been re-inspected after receiving a failing grade last week. The new grade is a 79.

Top Scores of the Week:

  • Subway, 126 West End Avenue - Grade: 95
  • Waffle House, 411 Cedar Bluff - Grade: 95
  • Domino's, 7527 Northshore Drive - Grade: 95

  • Rankin Restaurant, 2200 North Central Avenue - Grade: 94
  • Wendy's 331 Cedar Bluff - Grade: 93
  • Panda Express, 11480 Parkside Drive - Grade: 92

Those grades in the nineties mean that management and staff pay close attention to restaurant safety guidelines to assure that your food is wholesome and the place is clean.
