Knoxville Home Show to be held this weekend

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville is hosting its annual Home Show earlier than ever this year to help local home builders and homeowners take advantage of what it says are a number of opportunities in the housing market.

HBAGK says East Tennessee's housing industry has seen a slow positive turn over the last few years, leading real estate and home building experts to point toward 2014 as a potential barometer for the market for the next decade.

HBAGC says the three-day event will focus strictly on building, remodeling, decorating, maintaining and improving homes. One hundred companies are expected to take part.

The Home Show, presented by ORNL Federal Credit Union will be held January 24 - 26 at the Knoxville Convention Center. Friday hours are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Daily adult tickets are $10 and children get in free. Discounted tickets are also available for purchase online at or
