Flurries and snow showers possible over the weekend

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Another fast moving "clipper" system pushes through the area late tonight through midday Saturday. Flurries and scattered snow showers are expected.

Accumulations will be minor with a couple inches possible in the higher terrain of the plateau and the Smokies while valley locations like Knoxville may get a dusting or so.

A southwest breeze should push us above freezing late Saturday while the 40s under a mostly sunny sky will greet us Sunday. Another shot of cold air arrives early next week.

TONIGHT: Clouds Increase/Late Flurries: 17°

SATURDAY: Flurries and Snow Showers in A.M.: 38°

SATURDAY NIGHT: Clouds Decrease: 16°

SUNDAY: Sun Returns & Warmer: 47°

MONDAY: Flurries Possible:  36°
