KNOXVILLE (WATE) - One person was injured a head-on collision early Saturday morning, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

Officials say it happened around 12:40 a.m. on Interstate-40 in Knoxville.

Police say a Toyota Rav4 was traveling east and exiting to Papermill Drive from I-40 when it crashed head-on into a Hummer H3 that was driving west on the exit ramp.

A passenger in the Rav4 sustained non-life threatening injuries. Neither driver was injured.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
