KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Temperatures plummet Monday. We begin the day at about 50 degrees, but by this afternoon we'll be in the low 30s and upper 20s.

It's also windy with some morning rain mixing to a light rain/snow before ending this afternoon. Any precipitation will be spotty, and we are not expecting much.

Temperatures keep on falling tonight. Lows will be in the low teens and single digits. Wind chill values are between -5 and zero for the high elevations where a Windy Chill Advisory goes into effect from midnight tonight through Tuesday morning.

In the valley, our Tuesday morning wind chill will be between zero and 5.

Tuesday and Wednesday are mainly dry, aside from a stray band of flurries here or there, but highs are only in the mid 20s! We gradually warm back into the 50s by the weekend.

TODAY: Mainly Cloudy. Stray Rain/Snow. High: 49, Falling to 30 by 5 p.m.

TONIGHT: Cloudy. Cold. Low: 14, Wind Chill around 5

TUESDAY: Cloudy. High: 23
