PIGEON FORGE (WATE) - Forestry officials say the cause of a large fire that led to the evacuation of several Pigeon Forge homes Sunday was likely power lines.

The blaze charred around 50 acres and put around a dozen rental homes at risk. No major damage was reported.

The fire started near Walker Trail in Pigeon Forge around 2 p.m. Sunday. Four people were evacuated while others were told to stay inside because it was too dangerous to leave.

Nathan Waters with the Tennessee Division of Forestry told 6 News power lines likely started the fire.
