KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Snow showers continue to push further north, which means most of our viewing area will see off and on snow from this morning through late afternoon.
With it being so cold, anything that falls will stick. Most accumulation looks to be toward the mountains (3-4"), but the valley and plateau will get a trace to a possibly 2 inches on higher ridgetops toward the mountains (NOT everywhere).
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the valley, most of the plateau, and the mountains until 10 p.m. tonight. Highs are very cold in the low 20s.
Snow ends tonight with lows in the single digits and wind chill values below zero. Wednesday is dry, but cold with highs in the mid 20s. We finally begin to thaw out by Thursday afternoon! Highs will be near 40. By Saturday, we are back in the mid 50s.
