TDOT treating roads across E. Tenn.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Tennessee Department of Transportation is working to keep the roads safe Wednesday.

Crews continue to treat the roadways across East Tennessee, and as of 9 a.m., these are the conditions TDOT is reporting: 

Knox: Roads covered in spots, crews are treating, 7 degrees

Sevier: Roads covered with ice and snow, crews are treating, 5 degrees

Anderson: Roads wet, treating as needed, 4 degrees

Union: Roads covered in spots, treated, 9 degrees

Cocke: All roads in county wide advisory, motorists use caution, crews are treating, 7 degrees

Grainger: All roads in county wide advisory, motorists use caution, crews are treating,  10 degrees

Jefferson: All roads in county wide advisory, motorist use caution, crews are treating,  10 degrees 

Campbell: Few slick spots, roads have been being treated, I-75 clear

Claiborne: few slick spots, routes have been treated

Scott: No roadway problems

Roane: Roads still have icy spots and I-40 (Rockwood Mtn) has slick spots with few patches of snow/ice, crews are treating.

Monroe: Roads still snow covered in areas, crews are treating

Morgan: Roads are wet, crews treating icy spots as needed

Loudon: Roads slick, snow covered in areas, crews are treating.

Blount: Roads still snow covered in areas, crews are treating.

Greene: Slushy & snow on roads, travel lanes cleared I-81

Hamblen: Slushy & some snow on roads, most major roads in fair/good shape, have two lanes cleared on I-81

Hawkins: Slushy & snow on roads, still treating

Hancock: Slushy & snow on roads, still treating
