Baby born along icy interstate in Atlanta suburb

A Georgia father was forced to deliver his new baby girl alongside an icy interstate north of Atlanta Tuesday evening.

According to WSB-TV, the man and his wife were unable to make it to the hospital due to icy road conditions.

Stuck on Interstate 285 in Sandy Springs, 20 minutes north of Atlanta, around 5:30 p.m., baby Grace was born.  A traffic officer helped the father deliver the baby.

Her parents named her Grace because her smooth delivery was "by the grace of God," WSB-TV reported.

Paramedics were dispatched to the area, and mom and baby are doing just fine.
