Woman assaulted in Knoxville home invasion

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police are searching for two men wanted in a home invasion robbery.

The Knoxville Police Department says it happened Wednesday just before 9 p.m. on the 2600 block of Edgewood Avenue.

The homeowner told officers she opened the door to her home and was confronted by two men. 

She says they assaulted her, forced their way inside the house, and demanded her pills and money. When the victim turned the items over, the suspects ran from the home.

The suspects are described as white males in their thirties, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing about 180 pounds.

Both suspects were wearing blue bandanas over part of their faces, gray hoodies and khaki carpenter style pants.

One of the suspects was armed with a small pocket knife.
