KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Public intoxication charges have been dismissed against a Knox County teacher and coach.

Joseph Michalski, 30, was arrested at an apartment building on Adenleigh Way Sunday morning after a citizen called to report an intoxicated man was trying to get into various apartments.

Deputies said Michalski had a strong smell of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet, and had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. He said he was trying to get home, but was unable to say where home was.

Michalski a math teacher at Hardin Valley Academy and is associated with the HVA baseball program.
