MAYNARDVILLE (WATE) - One of Kentucky's most wanted fugitives was arrested Tuesday in Maynardville.

George Hill Jr., 50, was wanted for sexual assault with a victim under 12 years of age.

The U.S. Marshals Service said that Hill was arrested around 2:00 p.m. at a rental cabin on Hickory Star Boat Dock Road.

Multiple agencies assisted in the arrest. Officials say Hill was taken into custody without incident.

Hill was wanted in Bracken County, Ky. on charges of sodomy in the first degree, sexual abuse in the first degree, and being a persistent felony offender. He is also wanted on a parole violation warrant for a prior conviction of being a felon in possession of a weapon.

Hill was considered to be extremely dangerous and a risk to public safety.

He is now being held at the Union County jail on a bond of $100,000.

He will be extradited to Kentucky after answering to local charges for violating the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry Law.
