KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Friday is still cold with afternoon highs in the low 40s. We are well below our average highs for this time of year, which are near 50.
A band of light snow will move in after midnight tonight. It is a fast moving band, and there isn't a whole lot of moisture with it. However, the northern plateau, SE Kentucky, and our Mountains may get up to a half inch of snow by Saturday at 10 a.m. In the valley, we may have a little sticking to the grass, but we aren't expecting much as this is a fast moving system.
Saturday afternoon is mainly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s. Sunday now looks mainly dry, but yet another system will move in early Monday morning possibly bringing light snow to the same areas as tonight (northern plateau/mountains).
We have a third chance for snow showers Tuesday night. We'll keep you posted!
