Delta offers free change fees for flights to, from southeast

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Delta Airlines reminded customers Sunday to check their flight status often if flying through Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, or anywhere in the southeast.        

According to Delta's website, the airline will give passengers a refund if their flight is canceled due to inclement weather.        

Delta also offering free change fees to travelers who change rearrange their travel plans if they're flying to or from certain destinations. Those free change fees apply even if the flight is not canceled or delayed.

Airports include:

  • Asheville, NC (AVL)
  • Atlanta, GA (ATL)
  • Charlotte, NC (CLT)
  • Greensboro, NC (GSO)
  • Greenville, SC (GSP)
  • Huntsville, AL (HSV)
  • Norfolk, VA (ORF)
  • Raleigh, NC (RDU)
Affected travel dates for refunds or free change fees include February 11-13, 2014 and tickets must be reissued on or before February 17, 2014.
