KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Oh, what a forecast! It's keeping us on our toes. With winter systems, make
sure to watch for each update because a slight change in the track makes HUGE
differences for the forecast.
Monday is cloudy and cold with some random light snow
showers. Most areas will not have travel issues today, but if you get one of
the heavier snow bands developing over your city, a quick half inch is
possible. High of 39. Tonight is mostly dry with a low of 26.
Tuesday, as of
right now, looks mostly dry as well with only a 20% chance of an isolated
rain/snow mix. The high is 39.
Wednesday is the day we are watching very
closely. Depending on the track, this system gives us a decent chance of
accumulating snow area-wide. It's a 60% coverage, and right now we're looking
at 1-2" in the valley with 3-6" in the mountains and plateau. The morning low
is 27 with a high of 38. We'll keep you posted.
TODAY: Spotty snow showers with some light accumulation
under snow bands, mostly in the higher elevations where 1/2" to 1" is
possible. Cloudy. High of 39.
TONIGHT: Cloudy. Flurries. Low: 26
TUESDAY: Cloudy, Most Dry. High: 39
WEDNESDAY: Potentially bigger snow system. This will bring
the best chance of accumulating snow area wide. High: 38
