There are good teachers and then there are those who go beyond what is expected to make their students' school year memorable.  Mrs. Brantley is the latter.  If any teacher deserved recognition for their remarkable teaching, she does!  These are the six reasons why we believe she should be chosen Teacher of the Month:

From the first moment you meet Mrs. Brantley, you know your child will be in good hands. We have never seen her without a smile on her face.  She comes to work each morning and leaves each afternoon, beaming from ear to ear.  She is a teacher who truly enjoys her job! Her classroom is a positive environment where her students thrive academically. Her classroom style is structured, yet fun.

Her students look forward to coming to class each day. She stays in contact with the parents and always makes herself available if needed. We have spoken with the majority of parents whose children are in Mrs.  Brantley's class and we all agree that she is an asset to the teaching community.  All of our kids leave their houses each morning, excited to begin their day in her class!  As parents, it has truly been a pleasure having her as my child's teacher.  She is an outstanding teacher!

Mrs. Gorman goes above and beyond to make her students feel comfortable while they are learning. She is an amazing teacher who loves each and every one of her students and cares not only about their learning but also their feelings. She makes every student feel important and that they have a special place in the classroom.

With all the demands on teachers these days not too many teachers would go out of their way to go over assignments over and over for a struggling student but Mrs. Gorman does. She is not worried about a raise because of good test scores she is worried about her students becoming good citizens of the community. One thing that stands out from Mrs. Gorman from other teachers is that she goes out in the community to see her students and former students participate in school events like musicals or sporting events. She takes time out of her busy life to show these kids they can always count on her.
