KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Mostly dry weather is expected tonight through Tuesday and temperatures remain well below average.

The approach of an area of low pressure, forming near the Gulf of Mexico, slides east during the day Tuesday and Wednesday.

Right now we do have the possibility of a few inches of snow in the valley with more east into the mountains by Wednesday night. Lower snow amounts are possible along the plateau.

Any change in the path of the system the next 24 hours will impact the snow chances and totals.

TONIGHT: Mostly Cloudy: 26°

TUESDAY: Most Areas Dry: 40°

TUESDAY NIGHT: Some Clouds: 27°

WEDNESDAY: P.M. Snow Possible: 37↓°

THURSDAY: Morning Flurries: 36°
