KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A tranquil night is on tap as we wait to see what the developing winter storm decides to do.
A rain/snow mix is likely south of Knoxville before noon Wednesday. That mix will arrive in Knoxville midday or later and then proceed north into colder air. Most everyone should see accumulating snow.
While the exact amount of snow is uncertain, we are confident that a gradient of snow from an inch or two along the plateau, to 3 to 4 inches in the valley, then up to a foot in the mountains.
Remember, any change in the speed or direction of the storm changes the possible snow totals.
