KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Valentine's Day is Friday, and the expected snow is causing a bit of a dilemma for flower shops.

Jenny Peek with Petree's Flowers in Knoxville says they've already rented some four-wheel drive vehicles.

But Peek says if the weather gets bad, delivery drivers will likely stick to businesses on the main roads, rather than risk driving on back roads.

However, if you plan ahead, there is a simple alternative to make sure your Valentine gets flowers.

"We've had some guys who've been really smart, and they've come in early so if they get snowed in, they've already got their flowers so they can be with their sweetheart," said Peek.

If you are a little late on making plans, Peek says they have plenty of roses ready for pickup as early as Wednesday morning, no orders required.
