E. Tenn. to see more snow Valentine's night

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Happy Valentine's Day! Clouds thicken today with rain arriving by this evening. Take an umbrella to Valentine's Day dinner! Highs are in the mid 40s. As temperatures fall overnight tonight, once again, we have a chance for snow. This time, however, it will be light.

A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect for the valley and Cumberland mountains at 7 p.m. The Smoky Mountains go under a Winter Storm Watch at 7 p.m. as well.

This systems looks to change over late tonight, mostly after midnight, and it will bring an additional 2 to 3 inches to elevations above 2,500 feet. The valley and foothills will also pick up a random dusting in spots, mostly near the foothills, by early Saturday morning. The overnight low is 28.

Saturday dries out quickly, but it will be chilly with a high of 39. Another quickly moving rain/snow system moves through overnight Saturday (20%), but once again we are dry by Sunday with a high of 49.

SATURDAY: AM Light Snow, 20%, Then Dry. High: 39
