Middlesboro father charged with stabbing, killing son

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WATE) - A Middlesboro man was arrested for murder Thursday evening after he allegedly stabbed his son, according to the Middlesboro Police Department.

According to the police report, at 10:40 p.m. Thursday evening, Middlesboro Police were called to a residence on Evans Drive. Responding officers and EMT's discovered Joshua Baker, 24, suffering one apparent stab wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that he and his father, Garry Baker Jr., 51, were involved in a domestic argument when he was stabbed. Garry Baker Jr. was arrested at the scene and charged with murder. He will appear for arraignment in Bell District Court Friday morning.
