Quick moving system to bring snow Friday night

6 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A quick moving low pressure system will race across the region tonight, bringing a rain changing to snow situation for most of us. The rain probably won't change to snow until after midnight in Knoxville.

Knoxville and adjacent communities could see an inch or so of wet snow while several inches are possible in the mountains. Random snow bursts could drop heavier amounts of snow in localized areas.

Like the snow Wednesday,  it will be very wet and won't be around long as melting gets going with highs in the mid 30s Saturday.

TONIGHT:  Rain Develops/Snow Late: 29°

SATURDAY:  Early Flurries Then Partly Cloudy: 37°

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Some Clouds:  30°

SUNDAY:  A Warmer Day: 50°

MONDAY: Slight Rain Chance: 55°
