KNOXVILLE (WATE) -

Today: Mostly sunny and a little warmer. High: 49°.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and quiet. Low: 31°.

Monday: Clouds thicken back up, but most remain dry until after sunset. High: 54°.

The snow from last night has moved out and we will be "between" storm systems today. That means it will be mostly sunny and quiet with temperatures getting back a little closer to average for this time of year.

Most will top out in the mid-upper 40s by afternoon. The quiet pattern is short-lived tough as clouds will slowly creep back in overnight with lows in the upper 20s-lower 30s. President's Day looks mostly cloudy and mild with highs in the lower 50s and most will remain dry during daylight hours.

A cold front rapidly approaching East Tennessee will spread rain across the region Monday Night into early Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon looks great though with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the lower 60s…maybe the best day of the week?

The warming trend continues through Friday with highs reaching the 60s for many Wednesday through Friday, but the pattern will remain unsettled with some shower opportunities late Thursday into Friday. In fact, a few thunderstorms will even be possible Friday and Saturday.
