KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A cold front will pass through East Tennessee overnight bringing strong to severe storms, heavy rain and even some lightning.
A line of storms will develop ahead of the front and should arrive on the plateau about 10 to 11 p.m., Knoxville and valley locations midnight to 2 a.m. and areas near the mountains by 4 a.m.
The main threat will be damaging straight line winds, but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
Drier air funnels in behind the front bringing near normal temperatures back into the area. Stay
with the 6 Storm Team on air and online tonight as these storms move through overnight.
