BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WATE) - Two Barbourville, Ky. pawn shop employees were arrested Wednesday accused of accepting items they knew were stolen and reselling them.

Michael Gray, 43, and Lewis Gray, 47, both of Flat Lick Ky., are charged with engaging in organized crime.

The Barbourville Police Department says undercover officers took merchandise to T & L Pawn Shop, led the suspects to believe the items had been shoplifted, and successfully sold them to the pawn shop.

Police say the suspects had requested certain items or items of a particular interest be provided to the shop. Officers then arranged for the delivery of the items.

Police executed a search warrant at the pawn shop Wednesday, and most items that had been provided as "shoplifted" were identified and seized. Other items believed to have been stolen from the local Walmart were seized as well as $40,000 in cash.
