VIRAL VIDEO: woman confesses on camera to stabbing mother in Knoxville

Posted: Updated:
While WVLT, in Knoxville, was covering a stabbing at an apartment complex Tuesday the woman wanted for stabbing her mother walked up to a Local 8 reporter and confessed on camera. She said the reason she did it has to do with satanic curses.

A neighbor, who doesn't want her face show, lives at Sunchase Apartments and is close friends with the 61-year-old woman who was stabbed a few doors down early Tuesday morning. The neighbor said the woman's daughter, Katie Nichols is to blame

"She's not emotionally stable and does the best she can, but needs quite a bit of help," said a neighbor.

She said after the stabbing, nichols took off with her young daughter.

The neighbor said, "I almost kind of hope that she does come back through here so we can get the authorities to get her."

Not five minutes later, it happened, Nichols walked up to the camera.

"The satanic cult in this city has been casting satanic spells on me for three, four days. I'm exhausted," said Nichols. "I came home and found out my mom was the ringleader and was trying to kill my daughter."

Nichols said she had to act because her mom was putting curses on them.

"I had to kill her -she was going to kill both of us. she was so powerful, I had no idea , I had no idea that my mother was that powerful," said Nichols

Deputies say Nichols' mother was stabbed in the neck, chest and stomach and was rushed to the hospital for surgery.

"When I left, she was still breathing. I stabbed her three times and she should have died. She was still breathing. I don't know what happened to her afterwards or where they took her, but she was the antichrist - she did not die," said Nichols.

Nichols says afterwards, she and her daughter hid out.

"We went in my car, we ended up in a little rural area and just waited for the sign that it was safe to come back, said Nichols."

Nichols is convinced she did everyone a favor.

"She had symbolic representations of my death, my daughter's death, every nuclear explosion that was supposed to happen, that's not going to now," said Nichols. "Because all of the satanic cult has been rounded up and killed now."

There's no word yet if deputies have officially charged Nichols. We'll of course keep you updated as more information becomes available.
