KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Police have arrested a Knoxville man for shooting at another motorist while he was driving.

It happened around 8 a.m. Saturday around Kingston Pike and Alcoa Highway Saturday morning.

Police say the two vehicles traveled southbound on Alcoa Hwy. before making a U-turn in the opposite direction. They then exited at 17th Street and separated around Western Avenue.

The victim claims the shots were fired at his maroon Dodge Stratus by the suspect. The alleged suspect, 34-year-old Matthew Orr, was driving a tan Chevrolet Malibu.

Orr was taken into custody shortly thereafter on Magnolia Avenue.

Police say the incident appears to have escalated from a domestic-related altercation, and the two individuals know each other.

Orr has been charged with aggravated assault in the incident.
