KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The City of Knoxville is working on plans for a restoration project involving the historic Farragut Hotel.

Developers from the California-based development company Halo Hospitality Group were in Knoxville Monday to share their vision and tour the site.

The plan is to turn the building into a 190-room full service hotel. It would include a restaurant, ballroom, conference rooms and hotel rooms.

The developers still need to submit a financial package to the city.

They are hoping to begin restoration early next year but it will still be several more years until the hotel will be available for use.
