KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Get your toga ready, because a fun-filled event benefiting the Knoxville Opera is being held this weekend.

The Bacchanalia celebration, which is being hosted by the Knoxville Opera Guild, kicks off Saturday at 7 p.m. at The Standard.

Allison Easterday, who is the chair of this year's Bacchanalia, spoke about the event Thursday on Good Morning Tennessee.

"Bacchanalia was originally a festival to honor the god of wine, Bacchus.  So there will be a lot of wine at this event.  The Coveralls will be playing.  We'll have opportunities to play different games while you're there," said Easterday.

The event supports Knoxville Opera's Educational/Outreach Programs.

Togas are optional.

To purchase tickets, which are $75, head to the Knoxville Opera's website.
