PIONEER (WATE) - Deputies in Campbell County raided a property Friday morning, seizing narcotics, cars and a huge amount of cash.

It happened at a home on Elk Fork Road, tucked inside a cemetery. Investigators say they've been working months on this case and started their search around 6 a.m. Friday.

Investigators say inside the home they found a large amount of narcotics, though they're not releasing details on what type of drugs.

"We've seized tens of thousands of dollars in cash," said Detective Lieutenant John Long with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.

The family living there, investigators say, was believed to be selling drugs throughout the county. Investigators are also staying tight lipped about their identities, since more people may be involved.

Deputies snapped pictures of and took notes about the cars parked along the private drive up to the home.

"We've seized approximately six vehicles and four ATV's," added Detective Lieutenant Long.

We asked Long why they loaded the cars onto tow trucks.

"It's because if they used them to transport narcotics either the money or the drugs within the vehicle or they maintained their vehicles using narcotics money it's subject to seizure," added Detective Lieutenant Long.

Detectives say a drug bust of this size is something they haven't seen in quite awhile. The cars that were seized will be going to the auction block.

Campbell County detectives say on Friday they also served a search warrant at a bank in Jellico where they found two different safe deposit boxes with money connected to this bust.

This is still an active investigation and that is why they're not releasing many details.
