KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The 86th Annual Oscars air on ABC Sunday, March 2 and WATE 6 News is on your side with everything you need to know before the awards.

Beginning at 8 p.m. EST, 6 News Anchor Lori Tucker will be live-tweeting everything, from the red carpet to the winner for Best Picture. 

Red carpet coverage begins  at 7 p.m. and the awards begin at 8:30 p.m., only on ABC.

What would the Oscars be without a host? The 86th Annual Oscar Awards are being hosted by comedian Ellen Degeneres. This is her second time hosting the awards show. Degeneres recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about the ceremony. Kimmel will host a special Oscars edition of his late night show after the Oscars and WATE 6 News at 11.
