KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A North Knoxville church was evacuated Wednesday afternoon due to a gas leak.

The Knoxville Fire Department says a construction crew clipped a gas line near The Church of the Good Shepherd, 5409 Jacksboro Pike.

About 15 to 20 people were inside the church at the time and were evacuated until the gas dissipated. No one was injured.

The church has canceled its Ash Wednesday services.
