KNOXVILLE (WATE) - 35-year-old Michael Williams is being charged with theft and aggravated assault after threatening a store manager with a toy handgun.

Late Friday night Knoxville Police responded to the Food City at 7210 Asheville Hwy on a call to 911 for help.

The store manager informed officers that a white male had entered the store, stole four buckets of detergent, and fled.

When the manager confronted Williams, he threatened to fire shots and fled in a white truck.

Williams' bond has been set at $1000
