KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Four area restaurants received failing health inspection grades this week. One of the places received a grade you would never tell your parents about, and this lowest scoring restaurant borders the University of Tennessee campus.

Gus's Good Time Deli, 815 Melrose Place - Grade: 54

The inspector found fruit flies behind the Coke machine.

Duct tape was found wrapped around a spatula handle. You might do that at home, but you can't do it at restaurants. It's hard to keep the duct tape sanitized.

Cooked hamburgers on the grill were at 129 degrees, but 140 and above is necessary to kill the growth of bacteria.

Pink and black mold was found in the ice maker.

Hand soap was found in a bottle labeled as hand sanitizer. That was likely a mess.

Hardee's, 2919 Tazewell Pike - Grade: 65

The inspector writes she watched an employee forget to wash his hands after handling dirty pot holders.

When she checked a blender, it had not been properly sanitized.

Noodles and Company, 11083 Parkside Drive - Grade: 66

The inspector found no hot water at a hand sink in the women's bathroom. Also, another handsink in the ladies room didn't work.

Fruit flies were found in the kitchen and the ice dispenser was dirty.

Asian Flavor, 5541 Clinton Highway - Grade: 69

The inspector writes the dishwasher didn't have enough sanitizer running through it to properly sanitize the dishes and utensils.

Soiled rags were lying on top of food products as a cover. It's okay to cover up the food, but not with dirty rags.

Top Scores of the Week:
