KNOXVILLE (WATE) – NASCAR fans got a chance Thursday nightto get up close and personal with the cars and drivers at the Food City RaceNight.

The annual event kicks off all the festivities for theFood City 500 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

Fans got a chance to see show cars and try out asimulator at the Knoxville Convention Center, listen to music, and eat freefood.

One father who brought his son said it's an event forNASCAR fans of all ages.
