KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville store owner wants answers after someone broke out his glass door and appears to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

6 News obtained the surveillance video from that break-in at the Boost Mobile store on Clinton Highway.

The store owner says his security system never went off, and the video shows someone coming into the store three more times within a six hour period.

"They said that your store got robbed, and I was thinking that maybe it was kind of like sarcastic, but then I went right away to the cameras and saw the front door busted completely," said the store's owner Rashid Blayyadi.

Surveillance video recorded just before 1:00 Saturday morning shows someone inside the store.

Less than one minute later the person leaves and appears to be carrying items.

"I looked at the walls. There is no phones left," said Blayyadi.

It does not end there.

The person comes back at 3:02 a.m., goes behind the counter and leaves again.

Then just after 4:00 a.m. someone comes in again, this time in different clothes with a bag.

The person goes behind the counter then out again within about a minute.

And finally just before 6:30 Saturday morning, one more time, same thing.

"I think it's funny because he has all the field for himself. He went ahead and robbed, went back home and changed and maybe got him a drink and came back and robbed again," said Blayyadi.

He says he believes dozens of cell phones were stolen totaling more than $15,000 of inventory, but he could not think of why anyone would target his store.

"I'm really frustrated and I'm trying to see who is he and why because we are nice to people I cannot remember an enemy or somebody cuss us in the store or was like loud," said Blayyadi.

The store owner tells me they are contacting those cell phone providers to have them all deactivated in case someone tries to sell them or activate them.

Police are investigating, but so far no arrests have been made and no suspects named.

If you have any information about this break-in, you are asked to call the Knoxville Police Department.
