KINGSTON (WATE) - Firefighters investigated a suspicious house fire in Roane County early Monday morning.

Dispatch says the blaze started just before 5 a.m. on the 1100 block of Old North Kentucky Street. That's located just off Interstate 40.

The Kingston Fire Department Chief says the fire looks suspicious.  Officials don't know if anyone was inside the home at the time of the blaze, but crews did find a car in the garage.

As of 7 a.m., crews were still on scene.

No additional information has been released at this time.
