KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A suspect on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Top Ten Most Wanted list was captured Tuesday night in Knoxville.

Keith Jamar Thomas, 25, was wanted by TBI and the Cocke County Sheriff's Office for felony murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery.

TBI says Knoxville Police Department officers located and arrested Thomas around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a tip.

Thomas was taken to the Knox County Detention Center and will be extradited to the Cocke County jail.

Officials say Thomas and another captured fugitive, Rico Sterling, were involved in a June 2012 robbery on Leaf Way in Newport. A third person, James Michael Brewer, 27, was also present.

Brewer allegedly went into the home first and then came outside. Thomas and Sterling then went inside, and allegedly struggled with two victims.

One victim suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital. The second victim died at the scene.
